With the help of our hard-working evaluators, we have awarded twelve of our members grants to improve their practice. You can read about their inspiring projects here. 

This year, we are introducing an important new component to our grants - five of our grantees will go through first-ever assessments, as we prepare to launch our accreditation system for perpetrator programmes. This is a huge, and exciting step towards ensuring that programmes across Europe follow the European Standards for Perpetrator Programmes, prioritising the safety and well-being of survivors. 

We are immensely happy to continue our project of aligning European perpetrator programmes with our European Standards, an effort which will improve responses to domestic violence across the region.

The conference will take place on 21-23 October in Berlin and focus on how perpetrator work has changed since the organisation's founding. Together, we will lay the groundwork for an even more impactful future.

During the event, we will also take a closer look at intimate partner violence in LGBTQ+ relationships and women’s use of force against their male partners. We will explore similarities and differences to male violence in heterosexual relationships and gain a greater sensitivity to the specific needs of female clients in heterosexual relationships and LGBTQ+ clients.

TACTICS partners urge frontline professionals and police workers to improve their efforts after 6th femicide in Greece

A recent femicide outside an Athens police station has ignited public outrage and demands for urgent action. This painful crime marks the sixth femicide in Greece this year, with women in many other European countries facing the same life-threatening violence . There is a pressing need for significant improvements to frontline professionals’ and police training and their procedures, as well as an urgency to establish systemic cooperation together with service providers to tackle violence against women.

ISEDA campaign on challenges in tackling domestic violence

Earlier this month, ISEDA project partners launched campaigns shedding light on the challenges in addressing domestic violence. This initiative seeks to enhance understanding, and sensitivity regarding domestic violence across Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Scotland and Finland. As a part of the awareness-raising efforts, the team has produced a video showcasing ISEDA's innovative solutions for combating domestic violence.
